In support of developing our innovative NK cell therapies, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

 

The role

As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you are responsible for processing purchase invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, payments and bank statements. You are also responsible for the General Ledger in designated areas, e.g. fixed assets, deferred expenses and payroll.  In your day-to-day you will:

  • Ensure a timely and accurate processing of purchase invoices and expense reports.
  • Maintain purchase order registry.
  • Ensure purchase invoices are signed off by responsible department head.
  • Ensure timely payments of purchase invoices and expense reports.
  • Maintain suspense accounts.
  • Assists with accurate processing of general ledger entries for payroll, fixed assets, prepaid expenses.
  • Assist during month, quarter and year-end close.
  • Support with ad hoc financial analyses and reports.
  • Contact suppliers regarding purchase invoices, deliveries and account statements.
  • Assist during audits and following up on requests of the external auditor.
  • Work on projects as assigned/requested.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for someone that shares our love for numbers, can work accurately & precisely and that likes being part of a dynamic organization. It would be great if you have the following requirements:

  • At lease Secondary Vocational education (MBO) level degree in finance, business administration, or related fields.
  • Ideally 2-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in AP accounting in an international company.
  • Good knowledge of Exact, Excel and other financial software.
  • Excellent team player, capable of working independently and with good communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset, curious, adaptable and eager to learn.
  • Fluency in English, other languages are a plus.
